THESSALONIKI
Located on the Thermaic Gulf of the Aegean Sea, Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece and the capital of Greek Macedonia. This UNESCO World Heritage site has examples of architecture from the Roman and Ottoman Empires peppered throughout the city and several museums covering everything from folk art and Jewish history to Archaeological monuments and historic castles. More recently, the city has seen an upswing in tourism and is a popular destination for street photography and cinema.
The Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia is located 20 minutes from the city center.
